C-Level Reading and Speaking

I would like each student to do final project for this class. Each project will be worth a total of 20 point.

Here are how the points will be distributed:

• 1st draft = 5 pts
• 2nd draft = 5 pts
• Final project = 10 pts

You can choose one of the following activites for your project:

• PowerPoint research project
• Extended Interview
• Oral research presentation (recorded audio presentation)

PowerPoint research Project:

1. Choose a topic on any subject. Conduct research on the topic using the Internet, newspapers, library, etc.
2. Write a short report for your topic and turn it in (first draft).
3. Create a PowerPoint presentation based on your report. (2nd draft).
4. Make a presentation to the class. (Final prject).

Extended Interview :

1. You will interview someone you do not know well. This could be a co-worker, your
2. employer/supervisor, a teacher at school, etc.
3. Before the interview write questions for your subject and turn in (first draft).
4. Make the interveiw if possible record the interview. (2nd draft).
5. Write a final report about your subject. (Final prject).

Recorded oral research presentation:

1. Choose a topic on any subject. Conduct research on the topic using the Internet, newspapers, library, etc.
2. Write a short report for your topic and turn it in (first draft).
3. After receiving feedback from your teacher, revise your report. (2nd draft).
4. Now record your report using Voice Email and send it to your teacher. (Final prject).
