Face-to-Face
Chemeketa Tutoring Center:
All currently enrolled students may use the campus tutoring center on the second
floor of building 2. This is an excellent resource and no appointment is
necessary.
Math Learning Center, MLC, (Building
3, room 277): This resource is for students enrolled in
individualized math classes through the MLC, but is also
available to students currently in an online math class. If
you are taking an online math class and you live within
commuting distance of the main Salem campus,
the MLC is one of the best places to get your questions
answered.
You can drop in any time the MLC is open (hours are 8:30am -
9pm Monday through Thursday and from 8:30am-3:30pm on
Fridays).
Online
Math Tutoring for all Students
Free, live, online math tutoring
is also available for all currently enrolled students. This is a
really fantastic resource. You can communicate live with
the tutor by typing on a message board, writing with the
mouse, listening to the tutor talk to you, and even talk
back to the tutor if you have a microphone. And online
tutoring also has additional valuable resources including
video tutorials and printable reference material.
Online tutoring requires a
one-time registration, but there is no cost. It is the exact
same registration required to use the on campus face-to-face
tutoring center (same CRN and if you register for
either, you are automatically registered for the other).
To learn more and find the CRN
for this term, contact Garth Fleming:
gflemin3@chemeketa.edu. Remember, there is no cost for this awesome resource.
