How do the activities work?
Now the activities are a chance to apply what you have learned. Some of the activities are textbook activities and others are online activities.

This area is designed to be an action area - either in your book or on the web.

Simulations and online surveys are in this area.

Also posted here are extra fun activities, for when you are finished your readings and field trips.

Some students have reported that they have learned more here than some of the field trips, because they get to do things and try skills out. Kinesthetic learners will especially like this area. In other words, this area gives you a chance to apply what you are learning.

And, yes, you may choose to report on these activities with your field trips.

If in your travels online, you find other simulations and interactive activities, be sure to let me know. These are hard to find!! Some of my favorites have already disappeared. :-(
