Welcome to Ed 235!

Listen to your instructor's accent.
Remember to turn on your speakers.

My name is Lucy MacDonald and I will be your instructor for ED 235. I was Chemeketa's first student on an Apple computer! I took Basic programming class, which was taught on Radio Shacks, but our department had and Apple II, which I was allowed to use. What I learned in this class was that I didn't like programming, but I did love the power of the computer and what it could do for instructional technology!

I began teaching online in 1992 BW (before the web!) I love teaching online and am still learning how to include the human interface of body language and audio. You will see me using "smilies" like this winking smile ;-) or phrases, like *grinning* or *just kidding.* or LOL (laughing out loud).

As teachers we now have even more choices of technology tools. The challenge is to know which tools to use and when and for what purposes. This class will explore the technology tools and focus on the effective instructional uses.

So come along and join the fun.

Lucy
