Chemeketa's College Writing Center offers a wide range of free
support for Chemeketa students:
tutoring, resources, and computer/software/printing use. It
also hosts some tuition-based, for-credit workshops.

Instructor tutoring
is provided in the on-campus lab. Online tutoring (through
an online discussion board) is available to students registered
in Chemeketa Online courses.

Handout resources
on content related to writing are available at the campus lab and
on the Internet, through the "composition" link.
|
|
|
A
computer lab in
Bldg. 35/101 provides 13 computer stations, a variety of composition / wordprocessing software,
internet access, scanner, zip-drive, and a printer for student use.

|
|
For-credit
workshops are offered periodically in basic skills
areas, i.e.,
punctuation, paragraph writing, and in resume and/or college
application writing.

|
|
Writing Center
orientations for courses may be scheduled. Bring
your class to the CWC or ask us to visit your class to
introduce the facility, present a workshop on topics such as
thesis statements, avoiding plagiarism, and more. We can
work with a whole class, with small groups, and of course, with
individual students.
